The Australian National University (ANU) was founded by the Australian Government in 1946, to apply the best minds to the biggest questions and advance Australia’s international standing. The University has grown to become one of the world’s leading research-intensive centers of higher learning. It is consistently ranked in the top 50 universities in the world by a range of international measures. ANU College is the English language and academic pathway provider for ANU. The College equips students with the high level of academic and research skills needed for progression to this world-class university.
ANU and ANUC are located in Canberra, Australia’s national capital, which was voted the world’s most liveable city in the OECD Regional Wellbeing study 2014. Canberra is surrounded by beautiful scenery, including the Snowy Mountains, which are perfect for skiing. Within the city, students have access to modern sporting facilities, national museums and galleries, and restaurants serving a range of cuisines.
“Studying in the ANU College was a 3 in 1 advantage for me. I got to learn new things such as citing and referencing. I even got to make friends with people from all around the world. With that, I learned a lot more about their cultures, beliefs, and also a bit of their native language. Finally, ANU College has this type of special study environment where it makes you feel more at home than at school. The teachers and staff there are very lovely and caring. Even after College, they still keep in contact with me.”
